Texas State Fair

The girls and I spent the day at the Texas State Fair today. It was a lot of fun. We left the house at eight this morning and didn't get home till seven. We started out sampling some yummy Texan foods and explored our food choices for the day.
Fried everything and anything:)
Next, we went to the Ultimate Dog Show and watched some talented dogs perform.

The African Acrobats Show was one of our favorites. They were amazing!

Sydney tried "fried" cookie dough and Sam had Dippin Dots. I liked them both:) Oh the joy of "just one small bite" please:)

I was thrilled to find Fried Green Tomatoes. Yum!

The Pirates of the Caribbean Dive Show was spectacular!

Cranberry juice, barbecue, honey, quesadilla, pumpkin dip.
I love free samples.

BMX Stunt Bike Show!

When we had our share of the sights, we hopped on the Skyway and enjoyed walking through the auto show on the way back to the entrance.

Here is my new Bumblebee Camaro!

On our way back home we stopped and had dinner at the Paradise Bakery Cafe in Dallas across from the Galleria.

Sam captured this picture as we drove through Downtown Dallas.
A very fine day indeed.
