WDW TRIP

Wow! We just returned home after a wonderful week in Florida.
Sam celebrated her 13th birthday at Hollywood Studios.

Sam and I shared a car at the Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater.
Peter, Kim and Luke are behind us. Keith and Syd shared a car and Dan & Nancy are behind them. Sam in front of her favorite ride!
One of our highlights from the week was a ride on the Jungle Cruise with Grandma, Grandpa, Sue, Rob, Matthew, Andrew, Keith, Sam, Syd and I.

Keith and I spent an evening together and enjoyed exploring the country exhibits in Epcot. Here I am in front of an English building.I love this picture of Grandma, Sam and Syd in front of Great Britain in Epcot.Keith resembling a Norwegian Viking Making a few long distance calls . . .

Waiting at the bus stop at Downtown Disney Keith and Syd on Thunder Mountain in the Magic Kingdom.

Rob and Matthew on Big Thunder!

Sam on the new Toy Story ride in Hollywood Studios. This ride was a lot of fun.

Dan, Nancy and Sam along the Boardwalk. You can see the Beach Club where we stayed behind them.

The best times during this trip were our conversations with family.
We hadn't seen Dan & Nancy in quite awhile, since they live in D.C. We also enjoyed spending time individually with Peter, Kim, Luke, Grandma, Grandpa, Sue, Rob, Matthew and Andrew.
A highlight for our family was the night of the big thunderstorm. Tuesday night when we were walking to our dinner reservations at a Japanese restaurant in Epcot, we were quite unprepared for the downpour. We frantically ran through Epcot, trying to out run the storm. Unfortunately we didn't quite make it to our destination. We only made it to the American Experience before the lightning, thunder and downpour began. Of course we had forgotten our rain ponchos in the room!
We were in good company though. Hundreds of other stranded tourists took refuge in the American Pavilion as well. Slightly ironic. . .
Since we had dinner reservations fast approaching and hunger pains were setting in, we decide to brave it.
We made the mad dash to the Japanese Pavilion, up many stairs that were flooded with warm bath water streaming down. We felt like we were swimming to our dinner!
Well, it was worth it. What a fabulous and entertaining Japanese dinner. We were humored by our chef and the show she put on for us. We didn't even mind our soggy state. The food was great and we enjoyed dining with Peter, Kim and Luke. Thanks for waiting for us!
Thanks so much to Grandma and Grandpa for a fabulous trip!
