Austin, Texas

After church on Sunday, we decided to be spontaneous and go for a short road trip. We jumped in the car and drove four hours to Austin. Sam and I had been to the Spaghetti Warehouse in Dallas, so when we spotted this place we had to share the experience with Keith and Syd in Austin.

Sam and I loved their Italian Wedding Soup! We got a great table in the train car. We marveled at the similiarities between The Spaghetti Factory and The Spaghetti Warehouse!
Keith and Syd . . . are they hugging or wrestling?!?!

Look real closely and you'll see Keith and Syd climbing the stairs and Sam not far behind them.

A friendly gentleman took this family picture for us!

I couldn't resist taking this photograph of George W. Bush when he was governor of Texas.
On the uppermost floor the presidents of Texas are pictured as well. As you may know, Texas was it's own country.
The "lone star" is featured on the ceiling.

A view from the upper most floor.

We stayed at the Hilton in Downtown Austin for one night.
The pool was on the 8th floor of the hotel with a great view of the city!

Syd in the hot tub.
We had a fun trip and enjoyed visiting a new city!
When we got back home we were happy to find "rain" in Dallas.
Our forecast this week is for cooler temperatures and chance of thundershowers.
Hooray!!!

I love road trips. That one looked like fun. I see you have a nice Texas Tan. Now, where's the Texas Hair?
