North of Winthrop, Pearrygin Lake campground was where we stayed in a small cabin. I went out in the lake on our small rubber raft. I had a bit of trouble at first, but I got the hang of it. Syd enjoyed playing with the camp fire that night. She tried to keep it going, but it was hard since Dad wouldn't let her use any of the fire wood because we were going to use it for another fire the next morning. I couldn't go find any sticks for her either because it was pitch black out and we didn't bring a flashlight(We did better the next morning since I collected some sticks to put in it though). We roasted some marshmallows over the fire too. Dad was the only one that had smores though. The rest of us just ate everything separate. The town was really cute. We went to a place called Sheri's and got ice cream on the first day then Mom and Dad got coffee and we got Italian Sodas the next morning. In the town there was a place called Sam's Place. We didn't go in it but we thought that was cool since my name is Sam. Along the road we saw a coyote, a prairie dog, and some deer. After we looked around the shops a little we got back in the car and drove to Leavenworth. I liked Winthrop, but I was going to like Leavenworth even better!
We finally got to Leavenworth! That was a long ride! We got to our hotel, The Enzian Inn, and checked in then got our stuff and brought it up to our room. We were on the third floor in suite number 322. There were two rooms with double doors dividing them. In Syd's and my room we had a wall bed that we slept in(Although Syd ended up sleeping in the big comfortable brown chair), a TV, and a bathtub with jets!! Also there was a door leading to the bathroom so we could get in without annoying Mom and Dad. Mom and Dad had a canopy bed and a sink and mirror in theirs. Also there was a door leading outside 
where you had a view of the outside pool. We went swimming twice while we were in Leavenworth, once when we got there and once before we checked out. Both times we went to the indoor pool. It was 5 feet deep all the way down and also had a hot tub next to it. We had lunch at a place which I don't know the name of and Dad and I got hot dogs (yum) and Mom got a pretzel and shared it with Syd. That night for dinner we ended up going to Gustav's, which is the place we had gone last time we came to Leavenworth. After we checked out the next morning we played golf at the Enzian Falls golf course. It came with our stay at the Enzian Inn. We didn't get to finish because we got too hot, but I am sort of glad because I was thirsty and I would have gotten more sunburned than I am. 
After that we hung out in Leavenworth. Dad and I got shakes at Cold Stone Creamery while Mom and Syd went into the Hat Shop and Toy Store.
We joined them, then they wanted some ice cream too,so we headed back over to Cold Stone to get them something. Then we got in the car and headed home. We stopped not to far 
from Leavenworth at a waterfall that we had stopped at the last time we had gone there. Then we set off again and came home. Me and Sydney helped Mom and Dad to put things away. I loved that trip!! By Samantha

I liked the italian soda's. I got watermelon, it was very very yummy!
